Close to the large long-distance gas pipelines RWE Gas Storage West operates in Gronau-Epe, at one of the most attractive storage locations, three facilities for different gas qualities, among them the Epe L-Gas storage. Being one of only few L-Gas storages in Germany this storage with its five caverns makes an important contribution towards security of supply. The storage is connected to the German long-distance grid of Open Grid Europe in the market area of Trading Hub Europe (THE).
